I’m Joe.

A musician, recording, and mixing engineer from Dublin, and I’ve been in love with recording since I was 16. My production journey began at home with a Presonus interface, a guitar and an SM58, when I formed my first solo project - Janksy, a name that has stuck with me throughout my work in the Dublin music scene.

My DIY spirit developed into earning a BA (Hons) in Creative Music Production from IADT Dún Laoghaire, alongside training at the Sound Training College, Dublin, where I discovered that studios feel like home. During college, I jumped at every opportunity to assist on sessions, most notably with Grouse Lodge’s head engineer Alex Borwick, who inspired me to become the engineer I am today.

For three years I freelanced out of different Dublin studios, mainly Sonic in Stoneybatter. Most of my clients would recognise the warmth of the Amek G2520 console, the green fluffy gobos in the live room, along with the towers of analogue equipment I utilised on every session.

Having relocated to London at the tail-end of 2025, I have picked up work on major label sessions at Urchin Studios, while continuing to mix records from my new setup in the city.
